Originally a small village located within the charming county of Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes (MK) was designated as a new city and borough on the 23rd January 1967. Since that date it has grown considerably in size and popularity as a destination to visit, not only for its large Shopping Centre and popular Entertainment Venues, but also within the boundaries of Milton Keynes can still be found quaint Olde English Villages, Stately Homes and many Historic Sites. Family's can enjoy fun days out at Gullivers Land Theme Park or Xscape where under one roof you will find a 'real snow' ski slope, multi-screen cinema, ten-pin bowling and many other attractions. Shopaholics can go crazy in the central Milton Keynes centre with over 190 shops to choose from. MK also has great nightlife, perhaps you might like to take in a show at the MK Theatre or a concert at the National Bowl.
